Printers and Inks
We are powered by arguably the best wide format ink jet printers on the market, Canon.
Their image PROGRAF PRO printer is designed to exceed expectations for image quality and color consistency in a large format printer. The use of new a 1.28-inch wide 12-channel integrated compact print head, LUCIA PRO ink set plus Chroma Optimizer, a high-precision mechanical platform and the L-COA PRO high-speed image processing engine achieves a balance between high-speed printing and exceptional print quality.
These unique Canon technologies and innovations establish the foundation for an ultra-high quality photography imaging solution that is available only from Canon. Powered by a Canon-to-Canon workflow that links images captured with an EOS Digital Camera and printed on an image PROGRAF PRO Series printer, the result is a solution that delivers prints that capture the moment and emotion of the original image. The overwhelmingly high print quality produced by this input to output solution is called Crystal-fidelity.
Standard and Fine Art Papers
Premium Archival Matte Paper is a smooth, neutral-white, matte paper for high-quality fine art, photo reproduction, and open-edition décor. The paper supports accurate color reproduction and high-contrast, high-resolution output, and is acid-free for a longer print life with pigment inks. It features a heavy weight (230 gsm), thick base (9.5 mil), and an instant-dry coating that resists fingerprints and smudging
Sunset Bright Velvet Rag 315g (20 mil) is the latest addition to the award-winning Sunset lineup. This 100% cotton rag fine art paper with a velvet surface boasts a bright white finish, and serves as a perfect complement to Sunset Velvet Rag 315g. It is designed to meet the needs of the most discerning artists and represents the ideal choice for a bright white, 100% rag paper with a velvet finish.
Fine Art Canvas
Satin
Our Satin Canvas is a 19-mil, poly/cotton blend canvas for fine-art reproductions. The satin finish and textured weave enhance the aesthetics of photo and art prints.
Gloss
Sunset Reserve Gloss Canvas is a new and improved release. With a higher color gamut it is ideal for both large production runs and high-end prints. The durable, smooth gloss canvas is specifically designed for stretching and mounting, and it dries instantly, making finishing and handling a breeze, without the need for coating.
Matte
Sunset by Fredrix Matte Canvas brings a breakthrough in canvas, featuring one of the highest white levels available for an OBA-free canvas. It’s easy to work with for stretching, mounting and framing, and is ideal for fine art and photographic reproductions on canvas. The acid-free, pH neutral, poly-cotton base provides consistency throughout the print run.
We can also source a wide range of papers/canvas but feel our less is more attitude helps us keep our pricing low and quality high.
Frames
Our picture frames are all made in the USA..
Stretcher Bars
Our stretcher bars are made from the best grades of North American basswood. This is the wood of choice for most museum quality stretcher bars due to its stability, low resin and lignin content. The wood is kiln-dried which will ensure that there will be no warp of shrinkage after the canvas is applied.
Printarun only buys from sawmills that use sustainable forest practises.
